The ECCE LUDUS guidelines were produced to enable educators and young people to design their own edutainment tool with the help of various tools and providing guidance on how this can be achieved.
You can find the guidelines on the ECCE LUDUS website in English, Italian, Turkish, Slovenian, Spanish, and Greek: https://ecceludus.eu/guidelines/
As part of the guidelines, you will find one PDF document featuring tips, methods, and explanations, as well as 3 video tutorials, explaining the use of
- Kahoot!
- Genially
- Escape boxes
… to develop your own educational games.
In the guidelines themselves you will find more step-by-step explanations for the tools.
Kahoot!: explanation of how the tool works including its types of quizzes, answers, and when to apply Kahoot quizzes.
Genially: Using the tool and developing a narrative, figure out the mechanics and test the developed materials.
Escape Box: Explore what materials are needed, how to set everything up and how to connect everything together and build a narrative.
Through the guidelines, users are led through the possible tools and opportunities there are online and in-person, to develop their own edutainment and escape room/puzzle game-based learning methods.
Additionally, we do invite you to try the online edutainment tool of the ECCE LUDUS project itself, which allows you to design, host and play escape rooms with your students or your friends in an easily accessible way, that is open for everyone to access and engage with.
